Rob, the Salty Tailor, has sewing in his blood. His grandfather, Gust, was a master tailor in Sweden. Gust immigrated to the USA via Ellis Island and passed the tailoring genes on to his grandson, Rob.

Rob’s sewing experience began with the GWOT (Global War on Terror) by creating and modifying heavy nylon and canvas battle gear for .mil and .gov soldiers and Operators. With GWOT phasing down, Rob then moved into his passion, marine industrial sewing. In 2020 Rob moved Salty Tailor to Sarasota. Florida. His Viking genes and salty ways finds bliss on beautiful boats in beautiful locations.
